Which User should I use for an Oracle Fail Safe Installation?

In Summary: when you are installing Oracle Fail Safe environment with Oracle 12c database, you need to operating system users:

1- Domain User with Administrative privileges on all the cluster nodes.
This user will be used to configure Microsoft Failover cluster, Oracle Database Installation and Oracle Fail Safe Installation.

2– Domain User without Administrative privileges.
This user will be used as “Oracle Home User”, during the Oracle Database Installation.

In case, you are installing Oracle 11g with Fail Safe, then only the first user is enough, because “Oracle Home User” is a 12c feature.

Following these guidelines will safe you from many errors, while configuring Oracle Fail Safe.
